The 2017 Speaker of the United States House of Representatives election took identify on January 3, 2017, on the opening day of the 115th United States Congress, ii months after the 2022 elections. This was the 125th speaker of the House of Representatives election since the role was created in 1789. The incumbent speaker, Paul Ryan, received 239 votes, a bulk of the votes cast, and was re-elected speaker.

Immediately later on the ballot, the Dean of the U.s. House of Representatives, John Conyers, administered the adjuration of office to the speaker. Ryan in turn administered the adjuration of office en masse to the rest of the members of the House of Representatives.
